Madibaz Mini WaterpoloTournament

On Friday the 16th of September, the Madibaz Water Polo Club will be hosting a mini water polo tournament. It looks to be a rather exciting affair and a brilliant way to usher in the warmer seasons.

The tournament is set to take place at the Indoor Pool at the Fitness and Aquatics Centre, South Campus. Registration commences at 14:00 and the first game begins at 14:30.

The cost is R150 per NMMU student team. A maximum of 4 teams per gender is permitted. To enter, the name of the team, and the name, surname and student number of each team member is to be emailed to melinda.goosen@nmmu.ac.za and entry fee will be paid at registration. Teams are advised to enter at their earliest convenience, as entry operates on a first come, first served basis.

The tournament will take place in a Round Robin format. Meaning all the teams of the same gender will play against each other and the two teams with the highest points proceed to face each other in the final.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning male and female teams respectively, as well as best player and top scorer in both gender categories.
