Insta-save that for later

Attention all selfie and Instagram lovers! Instagram is reportedly testing out a new feature that is sure to be a treat for the Instagram experience.

We all know there’s a lot more effort put into Instagram pictures than just snapping a picture and posting. A crucial part to every picture, besides finding the perfect lighting and angle to flaunt your physical features, is the editing. And there is nothing more annoying than going through the strenuous details of editing and waiting to post it, because you just posted a selfie ten minutes ago and Instagram laws clearly forbid us from posting two fleeking selfies right after the other – there has to be at least an hour gap between the two. So now what? Should we scrap the picture and start all over again in another half an hour?

The answer is no. Twitter users have reported an Insta option that allows you to save your editing process as a draft when hitting the back button mid-posting. And according to Mashable, “your drafts will be saved to a new section separate from your other photos and videos the next time you open the app.” BUT, before you start celebrating, Instagram reps have not confirmed if this feature will officially make its way onto the app. Right now they are in the process of testing new ways to make the Instagram experience as enjoyable as possible.

So for now, we will eagerly wait in anticipation to see if this feature will make its way onto the app and in the meantime, we can simply enjoy the latest feature added.

Earlier this month, the app launched the “Stories” feature, which operates similarly to Snapchat. Users are able to share an endless amount of moments from their day as well as share videos that they want to keep on their profile. The videos and photos shared will then appear in a slideshow format to create your story. In addition, they added various texts and drawing tools to help ‘bring it all to life’. After 24 hours, the photos and videos will disappear.
