Varsity Netball Action

The NMMU Spar Madibaz netball team have made an emphatic start to their campaign. The Varsity Netball tournament for the Spar Madibaz began on 6 September with a clash against Stellenbosch University’s Maties, which resulted in a narrow 38 – 42 loss for NMMU. However, that performance was followed by a thorough 55 – 23 win over rivals, University of Cape Town (UCT) on Monday 7 September. This result leaves the Spar Madibaz in third place behind current champions University of Free State, a team known as Kovsies, and table toppers University of Pretoria , also known as Tuks.
