Success of the RAGE
RAGE - Remember And Give Extra
The RAGE Campaign has been in action since the beginning of the month, encouraging students from all campuses to come together and support financially troubled students as well as those that rely on Campus Health.
At the beginning of this year, NSFAS (National Financial Aid Scheme) was not able to supply those need students with the money that was promised to them and a recent statistic revealed that about 1700 students rely on the Campus Health services.
The Campaign has urged each student to donate at least one tin of non-perishable foods as well as R10 in order to help those students in need of food and funds.
Some of the notable donations have thus far included;
R500 gift-voucher from The Boardwalk
100 tins of KOO Beans from Fedics Food Services
100 tins of mixed foods from SuperCare
100 tins of mixed foods from Fat Cat Catering
Maize and tins of mixed foods from Madibaz Café
41 tins from Melodi Residence
Drop off points are the Campus Health Clinic on all campuses, the President’s office at the SRC Chambers as well as Student Governance and Development offices on each campus.
