Varsity Season Soccer in Full Swing
It’s that time of year again where explosive soccer action will hit our screens every Monday Afternoon. The Varsity Soccer 2015 season began with our very own NMMU Madibaz travelling to Gauteng to take on newly promoted Vaal University of Technology (VUT) in this season’s opener which took place on the 20th July.
The Madibaz departed from Port Elizabeth airport on Sunday Afternoon with the excited star striker, Claudius-Ray Sagandira saying, “The team has worked hard in training, putting in more hours preparing. I believe this year could be our year.
The loss of key players such as former captain Kurt Duff, has not demoralized the team as this saw the arrival of new players. “There are exciting new players who came in and fit very well with the squad”. The score for the match was a draw at 0-0.
